i know!

i know my videos arent fitting right... im to lazy to fix it...

Myth Busters

we were talkin about myth busters for a second today so i thought i would post this. pretty amazing! they disintegrate a car and visit the shop and do some interviews. I also recommend this internet show and many others from revision 3. Very new media. they also have a photo shop techniques show. this site is pretty much something I would love to do for a career

Scavenger hunt.

For my example of New Media outside of IUPUI I decided to go with the only one that i have been involved with myself. for the past 2 semesters i have been working with NUVO.net producing video content for their website. Their uses of new media are very basic and most of my work consisted of uploading a video to youtube and they would embed that video as a story on their web page. Their audience for the web site is Citizens of indianapolis that enjoy reading their print magazine as well as using the web for a news source. They have also been trying a few other things in the new media field in order to stay current with what works on the web. Other than just posting news stories and videos they have blogs, podcasts, and social networking profiles that users can connect to and be involved in. My final project would benefit greatly from this type of use of new media. Hosting my productions on a website seems to be the best step in getting stuff out there for people to see.

Class response 4-13

Last weeks class was pretty laid back. The whole class time was sitting at our desks discussing many things. Most of the discussion was focused on the definition of new media and the future of it as well. This led to the government and censorship. I sometimes wish conversations would stay on the topic and not go off on politics all the time...

My Awsome Writing!!!

Below is an assignment I had in my scriptwriting class. We were to write a primise for ten films in the science fiction genre. I was pretty proud of my work.

HIGHLIGHT ABOVE THE PARAGRAPH TO SEE IF YOU CAN GUESS THE FILM, BOOK, OR TV SHOW

Star Wars

War of The Worlds

Ghostbusters

A team of professors recently fired from their positions at the university decide to take their skills to the private sector where they help the citizens of new York who are in need of a paranormal extermination.

Futurama

A loser in the modern day is miraculously frozen and reawakened in the far future where he is hired onto a team of aliens and robots where they are to deliver packages throughout the universe.

Jurassic Park

What the $&%# is goin on?

What the bleep do we know is a very interesting movie and it is put together very well. Although I am not even gonna try and say I understand any of it. This film asks and tries to answer all of those questions we all have in our heads every once in awhile. But It has a few problems when it comes to answering those questions for the audience. The experts are trying to explain their thoughts and explain what they have found but it seems that they don't even know how to explain it or even understand it themselves. So to fix that the film tries to explain things in even more simplistic ways by having actors in everyday situations that are used to explain things in very laymen terms. This seems to help a little but then they go back to the experts and they all are trying to explain the current topic in their own way, and it gets a little repetitive. I do have to say that the segments with the deaf woman deffinetly help the film stay interesting. If the whole film was just a bunch of talking heads this film would be way to confusing and everyone would lose interest.

P.S. The older lady in the red is a very creepy woman...
